This event resulted in the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was among those injured in the event. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
