Kai Trump can count on multiple well-known supporters when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she stated.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just stay calm."

"He practically told me to go out there and have fun," she added.

"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in just three tournaments this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He advised me to play, have fun, and go with the flow."

She'll challenge some of top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans.

The young star maintains millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle company.

She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
