Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "one day without laughter".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge decided to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the tragedy, public individuals shared different responses.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making divisive statements that were widely condemned by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the statements as "shocking" and suggested they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an aide should have intervened when the choice to speak on the death was made.
