Football Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' 10-game winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football team," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's manager.
So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.
My son advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
Fulham have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.
But I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's home record, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
