FC Barcelona Set to Play First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
